October 2026
The admissions window for applying to post-primary schools in Navan opens today, 1st of October.
Parents/guardians are responsible for applying for a post-primary school place for their child. Post-Primary Schools will accept completed application forms over the coming weeks. Please check each school’s Admissions Notice carefully, as the closing date for applications will be clearly stated.
There is no need to rush. Places are not allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Take the time to complete the application form in full and ensure that all requested supporting documentation is included.
Please note that incomplete applications may result in a child not being offered a place.
As some schools may be over-subscribed, it is a good idea to apply to more than one school.
For your convenience:
- School Roll Number: 20352T
- School Name: Ard Rí Community National School
- School Address: Balreask Old, Navan
If you require any administrative support during the application process, please do not hesitate to contact the school. We will be happy to assist.
Kind regards,
Darragh

Dear Parents of 5th & 6th Class pupils,
Selecting the right post-primary school is an important milestone for every family. We are proud that children from Ard Rí CNS have been accepted into all of the post-primary schools in Navan.
Most schools begin their enrolment process in early October, usually launched at their Open Evening. Please find the Open Evening times listed below. Further details will be available on each school’s website and social media channels.
Remember: Parents are responsible for making applications to Post Primary Schools on behalf of their children. Acceptance is not guaranteed, so I advise you to apply to more than one school.
Enrolment can only be secured for pupils in 6th Class, however I encourage you to gather as much information as you can when your child is in 5th Class so you can make the best decision.
Ard Rí CNS will usually receive a visit from a Principal, a Deputy Principal or a Year Head from each school who will meet the children, make a short presentation and answer any questions they might have.
If you require any support printing or filling out forms please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be delighted to help you.
